There
are good opportunities for skiing and hiking in untouched nature in
the neighbourhood of the farm, but also many ski- and sledging hills
on the field outside “Gamlestøga”.
During
the summer you can go fishing in “Vangsmjøsa”. You also have the
opportunity to go see old stavechurches, old KVERNHUS, go biking and
much more.
If
you choose to go on a car trip, there are many nice places to visit.
Sognefjorden, about 1 ½ hours ride from here.
Borgund Stavechurch, about 1 hour.
Årdal, (1 hour) you can continue on the road up to Turtagrø
and Sognefjellet, or towards Lærdal and along E16 on the way back.
You find Aurland and Flåmsbana (about 1 ½ hours) after
you’ve driven through the worlds longest tunnel, Lærdalstunnelen,
which is 24,5 km long!
